Why Should You Attend?

FSA’s Annual Conference is different from the rest because:

  1. Comprehensive Agenda – This is the only stormwater specific conference in Florida that is organized by Floridians, for Floridians. Presentations are selected by your peers so topics are relevant and help stormwater professionals stay on top of this rapidly changing industry.
  2. Networking Opportunities – Sharing information and learning from your peers is more important than ever. FSA conferences attract the “Best of the Best” in the stormwater profession!
  3. Continuing Education – All required continuing education can be completed in one place within a few days. Florida Professional Engineers can earn up to 12.75 PDHs (FSA Provider #03854) and Certified Floodplain Managers qualify for 12 CECs.
  4. Innovative Products/Services – Attending the Emerging TechnologiesTM session can teach you about the latest and greatest stormwater innovations. In addition the exhibit hall has the newest stormwater products, technologies and services in one convenient location.
  5. Concurrent Tracks – FSA offers multiple workshop tracks so you are sure to find the content you’re looking for. Selecting your content gives you the ability to connect the dots and meet your personal education needs. We’ve added a third track this year, so don’t worry about missing one of the great sessions!
  6. Resources at Your Fingertips – Attendees have access to the presentations and contact list of attendees, speakers and exhibitors to use at the Conference and when you get back to your office.
  7. Best Conference Value – FSA is the best deal around!  Registration fees include course materials, continuing education hours, meals during the conference (2 continental breakfasts, 2 lunches, 3 coffee breaks and a reception with light snacks - a $250 value in meals alone), FREE parking, and a discounted hotel rate with NO hotel resort fee.
Who Will Attend?

The Conference attracts engineers, scientists, managers, policy makers and elected officials from throughout Florida as we look for innovative and cost effective solutions to common problems relating to stormwater management and finance.

Registration Deadlines

Registration opens in early March.  Register early and save! To qualify for the discounted early registration rate, you must register online by May 2, 2016.  Fees include all course materials, continental breakfasts, lunches, coffee breaks and a reception with light snacks. Payment can be made online or offline by check.  Online registration closes June 3, 2016 or until we reach capacity, whichever comes first.

Cancellation Policy

Refunds will be given (minus a $25 processing fee) for cancellations received in writing prior to May 6, 2016. There will be no refunds granted after May 6th.

Continuing Education

Florida Professional Engineers and Certified Floodplain Managers attending the conference are eligible for continuing education on an hour per hour basis. PEs can earn up to 3 PDHs for the pre-conference workshop (Wednesday) and up to 9.75 PDHs for the Regular Conference (Thursday & Friday) - FSA Provider #03854. CFMs are also eligible for a total of 12 CECs for the full conference (Wednesday - Friday.) All attendees that need a certificate of attendance can receive one by submitting paperwork onsite. PEs are required to have license numbers on their forms.

Hotel & Parking

The conference hotel is the Sanibel Harbour Marriott located at 17260 Harbour Pointe Drive in Ft. Myers, Florida. FSA has contracted with the hotel to set aside sleeping rooms for all conference delegates.  We do this to make your planning as easy as possible and to keep conference costs low.  If you choose not to stay at the conference hotel, FSA could be responsible for paying for those unused rooms.
A block of rooms is reserved at a discounted rate of $149/night for standard guestrooms and $189 for suites. The resort fee has been WAIVED for FSA attendees!  Please disregard any reference to a resort fee on standard Marriott confirmations, FSA delegates DO NOT have to pay.  The discounted room rate is available until May 13, 2016 or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first. To reserve your room, call 1-800-767-7777 and reference the “Florida Stormwater Association” or go to FSA's reservation page. The resort fee and self-parking are complimentary for FSA attendees (the hotel website and/or confirmation may say differently), be sure to identify yourself when you arrive.
